Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely well-known. Her family was home-schooled by her mom within the USA. She was subjected to racial insults, she was being made to feel unwelcome. When she was in 9th grade she started to feel more secure after being applauded by her teachers when she sang at the school's audition. It not only boosted her confidence but was also a change in the direction she pursued in her professional career. When she was 22 she was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School. Her professional career began when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great reviews for her role. Her fame grew by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. Also, she is a well-known performer and has published an extended version of her play. In addition, she's an activist who is a tireless advocate to protect LGBT rights.
