Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. She has been acclaimed for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). The Getaway was released in 1972. New York, she was born and brought up in an artistic family. She started as a photographic assistant and then moved on to acting and modeling. Her name was highlighted in her two first films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Popular newcomer. MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained her fame worldwide in addition to being as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. Within three years she was named the number one female box-office starter in the whole world. In 1972 her hand-footprints and autograph were engraved at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and many more. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw is divorced three times.
